Changed the font color due to multiple requests. Still have no way to upload photos to a computer (as far as I know, I'm not much of a techwiz). Seeing photos is the only fun part of viewing a blog, so I have been having issues feeling motivated to write a post the last week or so (I could blame it on a shortage of computer access as well)...
Last night I stayed in a here in Newcastle, nothing too exciting. Today we are going to see Hadrian's Wall, the old wall the the Romans built across the whole of what is now northern England. That should be very exciting.
Yesterday was spent in York. York is pretty cool city, my favorite thing there was the Jorvik Viking Centre, where, in the 80's they excavated to find the remains of an whole awesome Viking Town. There is now a very fun museum with an amusement ride that brings you through a recreation of the city Jorvik. Lots of good information on Vikings, if you have any European blood, which you do, then there is good chance that there is some Viking in there somewhere. The Viking had a very extensive network throughout all of Europe and even into the Far East. I will talk about this more later. No time now.
The night before York we stayed in Liverpool (from Liverpool we took a train to York in the early morning), at the house of a friend of Taylor's dad. In Liverpool we went to the maritime museum, in which was a very cool exhibit on the slave trade, and how Liverpool was very involved in it. We also went to the bookstore of "The Beatles Story", we decided not to go into the exhibit itself because we've heard it's not that great. The bookstore was good though. I like bookstores. When their not outrageously expensive.
Next time I have a good computer on my lap I will create a post with information on my Granada, Spain days, and one with a lot of fun pictures of that and of England.
